From Humble Beginnings…
Many people work hard to find success, but few have a journey quite like Resid Osmanovic.
In 1997, Resid arrived in the United States from Bratunac, Bosnia, with his wife, two daughters, and only a few dollars in his pocket. Though he was a trained electrician in his homeland, the language barrier made his first steps in America difficult. But where others saw an obstacle, Resid saw an opportunity for a fresh start.
Mastering the Craft
In 1998, Resid entered the world of granite countertops. He didn’t just learn the trade; he mastered it. He worked his way through the ranks, learning every detail of stone fabrication and installation, eventually becoming the head installer for a major company.
After six years of perfecting his craft, Resid decided to build something of his own.
The Garage Years to the Grand Showroom
Tile & Stone of Syracuse began in a humble family garage. For two years, Resid worked late into the night, relying on two things: immaculate craftsmanship and honest pricing.
The results spoke for themselves. Word of mouth spread throughout Syracuse, and the business grew:
2004: Launched in the family garage.
2009: Expanded to a professional warehouse and showroom on South Bay Rd.
Today: Now located in our permanent home in East Syracuse, featuring a 1,500 sq. ft. showroom and a massive warehouse housing over 100 colors of Granite, Quartz, and Marble.
